Commissioned by Wibaut, 1828 Group and J.P. van Eesteren, Elephant realized the design for the Cadenza 2 tender in Zoetermeer. The building consists of a social plinth, 100 youth homes and 125 apartments. The plan got rewarded with the maximum score for urban design, architecture and flexibility.
Green is beautiful, relieves stress, has a cooling effect and absorbs fine particulates. The integral design of vegetation in our architecture starts with space reservation, weight, construction, irrigation system and accessibility for the landscape gardener. All elements are included in the process: aerial platforms or window cleaning installations are no longer necessary. The end result is always a long-term maintenance contract with a landscape gardener, based on a clearly specified maintenance costs as well as efficient management.
Future residents, tenants or investors have their own voice in the quality of living, without influencing the developer's business case. An extra window, a larger balcony, a wider sliding door? The buyer options are included in the building permit, approved by the building contractor and discounted in advance by the contractor. We call this Bespoke Facades, with all the buyers’ options included in our parametric model.
